How to Part Your Hair With Tapered Bangs

Tapered bangs are a great style to choose if you are a low-maintenance kind of girl. Easy to style and natural-looking, this style of bangs softens square faces and looks best on people with long or oval-shaped faces. Tapered bangs are slightly arched, which draws attention to your beautiful eyes, while giving your hair more style. Another perk is that you can part your hair however you want. Tapered bangs are versatile. Depending on the thickness of your bangs, you can part your hair in a multitude of ways.

Instructions

Side Part

    1

Comb your wet hair forward over your forehead.

    2

Slice the comb vertically through your hair at the crown of your head, slightly off center, creating a line that reaches from the back of the crown of your head to the middle of your brow bone.

    3

Comb the hair on both sides of the part. For the side with the bulk of the hair, comb the hair slightly forward to accentuate the layers.

    4

Comb your bangs forward. You do not have to part your bangs. Style your hair as usual.

Middle Part

    5

Comb your wet hair forward over your forehead.

    6

Slice the comb vertically down the center of the top of your head, making a line from the back of the crown of your head to about the center of your crown.

    7

Comb the hair on both sides of the part down over the sides of your face. Gently comb your bangs forward, ensuring that you do not get any longer hairs in them. Style your hair as usual.

No Part

    8

Comb your wet hair forward, starting at the back of the crown of your head.

    9

Comb the sides of your hair down, but away from your face, to separate the longer hairs from the shorter hairs of your bangs.

    10

Comb your bangs forward over your forehead at a slight angle, or part them down the center. Style your hair as usual.
