Hair straighteners give you lots of fashionable styling opportunities. Newly straightened hair is shiny, sleek and all layers are much more visible, allowing you to create very distinct looks. No matter what length your hair is, it will be easier to handle and style when it is straightened. Hair parts better, and is easy to pin in different positions to help create your desired shape.

Mist your hair with some shine spray and brush it through your straightened hair.
2Emphasize any layers by rubbing some hair wax in between your fingers and applying it to the tips of your hair. Rub a small amount of the wax over your palms and shake your hair out with your hands to add volume.
3Add any extra volume by lifting a two inch section of hair from the very top of your head and rubbing a fine tooth comb toward the roots to tease. Repeat around the entire top of the head to create the effect all over. When you've finished teasing, lay the section back down and use your hand to gently pull down any stray pieces.
4Remove the appearance of any frizz caused by the teasing by rubbing less than a dime-sized amount of conditioner over your palms and smoothing them over the top of the hair. The conditioner will kill the fly-aways and also give your hair a nice scent.
