Medium Hairstyles With Rollersets or Pin Curls

Experimenting with different hairstyles is one of the fun parts of being a woman. Updating your hair is a quick way to makeover your look. Two styling techniques that are old, but new again are rollersets and pin curls. Rollersets are a way of using curlers in a specific way. The hair is rolled with one row down the middle of the head. Two rolls of curlers are placed in backward angles on the side. Pin curls are sophisticated and sexy. They are made by curling hair with the fingers and pinning directly to the head.

A medium-length hairstyle is ideal for a rollerset. Hair that just rests on the shoulders is the perfect length. Put the hair in the rollerset and allow to dry either under a large hairdryer or air dry. Once you unroll it, use your hands to create the waves that you like. One way to style it is off your face, with the waves framing the sides. The curlers create enough volume to style it this way. Once you have the hair in place, mist it lightly with hairspray.

A bob is a retro and classic hairstyle that looks lovely with pin curls. A standard bob hairstyle is around chin-length, or one or two inches longer. A graduated bob is shorter and layered in the back, and angled towards the front. The hair should be pin curled all over. Pay special attention to the front so that the waves cascade down the front of the face. To add a vintage touch, pin the bangs to the side with a decorative clip.

A romantic, side bun is perfect for medium-length hair. Style it using rollersets or pin curls. Either one is appropriate for this look. After creating the curls using either method, run a styling cream through the hair. Sweep the hair over to one side and use bobby pins to secure it in place. Add a flower clip for a whimsical look. Pull out tendrils to frame your face.
