How to Use a Curved Plated Flat Iron ~ Hair Styling Tips

Straight irons give you the luxury of being able to easily calm down kinks or manage frizz, and most importantly, straighten your hair until it glistens. The revolutionary technology available in the curved plate flat irons provides the ability to calm kinks and frizz and curl your hair, ends or just a few strands for extra style. The curled plate straighteners add volume to your roots, which traditional straighteners can't provide.

Instructions

Plug in and turn on the straightener. Yours may simply have an on/off option, or it may have varied temperatures and wet/dry and boost options.

Divide your hair into pieces no wider than one inch and no thicker than half an inch.

Take each piece and place between the two iron plates as near to the root as possible, establishing volume immediately between the curves, and slowly run the straightener down the hair, smoothing frizz until you reach the end.

At the ends, curl the hair around the iron and twist the iron in a circle and hold until the desired volume of curl is complete. Use less time for bigger, loose curls and more time for smaller, tighter ringlets. Spin the iron to the right to achieve curls or curves facing toward your face, and spin to the left to achieve curls or curves away from your face.
