How to Make Short Hairstyles With Kinky Twist Hairstyles ~ Hair Styling Tips

Short hairstyles with kinky twists can be a funky and edgy way to style your hair. Another perk of this style is that it is easy to do and can translate well as a style for both men and women. If you're looking for a cool and yet simple new style, try out a short style with some fun kinky twists to make a statement.

Head to your local salon and tell your stylist to give you as short pixie cut. The pixie cut works great for this kinky twisted look because it is a daring style, while still being feminine. Make sure you convey to your stylist that you want a pixie cut that you can do fun little twists in, so that they know to cut some pieces longer and some shorter.

Have your stylist blow dry and style your hair after the cut so that you can see what products they use, to give your hair that short, twisted look. Most often, a stylist will use a strong gel or hair wax, as these products produce the best twists and allow you to bend and kink hair as you please.

Purchase pomade or whatever product your stylist recommends before heading home. The next time you wash your hair at home, blow dry and then twist. Typically, you'll want to run a thin layer of gel or wax onto hands and then twist various pieces of hair out on the sides and up on top, bending a few of the twists to add kink.

Head to your local salon or barber and tell them you want a short layered hairdo that you can add kinky twists to. Men typically opt for hair a little bit longer than pixie length when doing this style, so tell your stylist to basically cut layers throughout with the overall length being at least two inches long.
