A hair clip can be used when you are styling your hair for an event or if you simply want to get your hair out of your eyes. One type of clip that is very easy to use is the butterfly clip. Unlike other hair clips, the butterfly clip simply opens and shuts around the hair. Butterfly clips can be used for hair that is either thin or thick in texture as these clips come in all sizes.

Instructions

Clip Back Half of Your Hair

    Put a dime sized amount of styling cream in the palm of your hand.

    Rub your two hands together to coat your hands with the product.

    3

    Work the product through your hair, focusing on smoothing the top layers of your hair with the product.

    Brush the top half of your hair toward the center of the back of your head. Use one hand to brush and the other hand to hold the hair that you would like to clip.

    Twist the hair slightly into your head.

    6

    Open the clip and close it over the section that you are holding in your hand.

    Mist the hair spray over your head to secure your style.

French Twist

    Repeat Steps 1 to 3 from the first section.

    Brush all of of your hair toward the back of your head as if you are putting it into a pony tail. Use one hand to brush your hair and the other hand to hold the pony tail.

    Twist your hair so that it tightens toward your head. Do this while pulling the tail upward toward the crown.

    Continue to twist your hair until it has been tightly secured.

    Open the butterfly clip and close it over the twisted section. You should close it in between the center and top of the twisted section.

    Mist the hair spray over your head.
