Medium length hair can be frustrating to style for women growing out their hair or who missed a trim or two. Pulled Back Curls

    This style is sweet and simple. For this look, naturally curly hair will have the advantage. First, start with clean, wet hair and apply a leave-in conditioner. Next, add a volume enhancing mousse to your hair. Blow-dry your hair on low using a diffuser. Once your hair is completely dry, apply a shine serum to the curls. If your medium hair is straight, curl it by applying hot rollers and waiting 15 minutes for the curls to set. Next, part your hair to the side. Take a decorative clip and pull back a front section of hair that is no wider than one inch. Do the same to a front section of hair on the other side of the part. The sections should look somewhat symmetrical and not lopsided. Finish your look with hairspray to hold the style.

Apply a heat protect to the hair. Next, flat-iron your hair until it is completely straight. Flat-iron by sections to get smooth, straight hair. No ironed section should be wider than one inch. To get truly smooth hair use a tourmaline iron. Once all of your hair has been flat-ironed, apply silicone-based shine spray to the hair. The silicone will prevent frizz.
